It’s Spinda from Soap Dirt, and let’s talk about Ivy’s return—when she’s coming back, what she’s up to, and whether her comeback is going to stir trouble at Forrester Creations.
First, Ivy arrives in LA on Tuesday, October 22, and she’s not coming alone—her niece, Electra Forrester, a brand-new character, is joining her. It seems both of these Forrester ladies could soon be involved in romances. With Will Spencer recently landing an internship at Forrester Creations and RJ Forrester already working there, I expect both of them to compete for Electra’s heart.
As for Ivy, it’s clear who she’s after—Liam Spencer. Back in late April or early May, Ivy dropped into LA briefly, but she made time for lunch with Liam. She confessed to him that she’s been thinking about him and then kissed him. Liam kissed her back, but of course, Steffy walked in at that very moment and saw it. Steffy couldn’t resist confronting Ivy, accusing her of returning to LA just to kiss Liam, even though Steffy’s married to someone else!
With Ivy back soon and Liam single with no love interests in sight, I expect we’ll see more of Ivy and Liam reconnecting. And you can bet Steffy will throw obstacles in their way—mostly because she just doesn’t like Ivy.
Now, a quick reminder—this isn’t the first time Ivy’s been hung up on Liam. It’s been about a decade! It all started back when Hope and Liam’s Parisian wedding fell apart due to Quinn Fuller’s interference. After that, Liam and Ivy started falling for each other, but Steffy tried to lure Liam away with her usual tactics.
At one point, Ivy faced deportation, and Liam married her to keep her in the country. However, at the same time, he was trying to rekindle things with Steffy, and when Steffy found out, she slapped him, furious that he’d married Ivy without telling her. Eventually, Ivy and Liam’s green card marriage was annulled, and Liam dumped her at a family funeral. Afterward, Ivy briefly dated Wyatt and even pursued Thomas, but her heart always belonged to Liam.
Now, with Ivy back and Liam single, there’s a good chance they’ll pick up where they left off. There’s no official word on how long Ivy will stick around, but her niece Electra is under contract, so I hope both of them stay for a while. It would be great to see Liam in a front-burner storyline that doesn’t involve him chasing after Finn’s wife.
I’m sure Steffy will do everything she can to stop a reunion between Ivy and Liam, even though it’s none of her business. Finn might need to step in and remind Steffy to let Liam date whoever he wants, especially since Finn doesn’t want Liam sniffing around Steffy.
Lately, Steffy’s been channeling her grandmother, the OG Stephanie Forrester, thinking she knows best in everyone’s personal and business affairs. She’s been pressuring Thomas to walk away from Hope and pestering Brooke about her relationship with Ridge. Steffy seems to think she’s always right, which is why Ivy’s return could stir the pot and bring some much-needed drama.
So welcome back, Ivy, and here’s hoping you and Electra stick around for a while. And, of course, Ivy’s return could mean more sparks flying between her and Liam, with Steffy doing all she can to block their romance.
