Young and the Restless Early Weekly Spoilers Oct 21-25: Adam Pushes Back & Chance Makes Arrest
You’re listening to Soap Dirt, the latest in television entertainment news. Hey Y&R fans! I’ve got your early weekly spoilers for October 21st through the 25th. Adam Newman is pushing back, and it looks like Chance is ready to make an arrest. It’s Belinda from Soap Dirt, and as we always do on Early Edition day, we’re starting with what’s happening the rest of this week just to give you some context.
With that in mind, on Wednesday, October 16th, Audra is trying to get gossip from somebody at GLAAD, but they just hang up on her. She has nobody she can get dirt from there anymore. She sees Jack, runs over to him, and tries to tell him she’s sorry about what she and Tucker did. She’s grasping at straws. Jack really doesn’t want to talk to her, and then Audra vents that Kyle got her fired. She breaks her NDA and confirms that Victor owns GLAAD and is the one manipulating Kyle to be such a terrible human being right now.
Jack suspected all of this, and Audra proposes a deal: she’ll get GLAAD, he’ll get Kyle back. But Jack says, “Nope, no thanks, no deal. You will never get GLAAD back, and there’s no way you’re going to beat Victor.” She vows to make it happen and storms off.
Victor orders Adam to trash Abbott-Chancellor using Newman Media. Adam is perfectly happy to make Billy look bad and out of control. Victor also wants him to bury the truth of Audra’s exit from GLAAD. Adam brings up that he thinks GLAAD is as much of a mess as Abbott-Chancellor. Victor doesn’t like that because it’s being run by his new little surrogate son, Kyle, and says it’s going to be just fine. But Adam doesn’t want to hurt Jack or his family. Victor’s attitude is, “If Jabot has to burn so GLAAD can thrive, then that’s how it’s got to be.”
Adam storms out, runs into Michael, and asks about this plan to target Jack. Michael plays dumb, saying he’s just trying to get back on Victor’s good side. Michael is sure that whatever Victor is doing, whether or not he has a plan, Jack and Diane can handle it. Adam says Victor has plans for Kyle, but anytime he’s playing “dad” to someone, it’s always a double-edged sword. Michael, of course, runs right in and tells Victor everything Adam said. Victor is not happy about Adam’s loyalty to Jack and threatens to fire him if he doesn’t comply.
Speaking of firing, Phyllis isn’t happy when Billy tells her Jill ordered him to undo everything he’s done, which includes firing Lily and hiring Phyllis. Jill is not a fan of Phyllis. Phyllis thinks she can convince Jill and win her over, but Billy thinks it’s a terrible idea. He tells her he has to fire her or he’ll get fired himself. Phyllis suggests he pretend to fire her, keep using her, and pay her later. Billy is frustrated, and Phyllis pushes further, asking him to rehire Daniel, but Billy is unsure of what to do.
Meanwhile, Chance is at Daniel’s apartment. He’s found the phone and bloody towels and is questioning Daniel, who has no idea where they came from. Daniel is shocked, as he thought someone else had the phone and was sending the texts. They discover the phone’s code has been changed, but Daniel resets it and hands it to Chance. Chance finds an unsent text to Paul, Heather’s dad, saying Heather and Daniel have been fighting because of Daniel’s anger issues. Daniel is horrified, saying none of it is true. Chance then says the apartment is a crime scene and Daniel has to leave.
Things are tense on Thursday, October 17th, between Jack and Diane—likely because Jack tells her Audra confirmed their worst suspicions. Kyle’s risky deals with Victor deepen, adding to the tension.
Friday, October 18th, is the 30th anniversary of Michelle Stafford’s debut as Phyllis Summers. She’ll be spending time with Lucy Romalotti, reflecting on her glory days, with lots of flashbacks. Phyllis will also hear more about Daniel’s situation, likely causing some Sharon angst.
Looking ahead to the week of October 21st-25th, Phyllis will be annoyed that Billy might have to fire her, but that frustration will pale once she learns Chance is looking at Daniel as a suspect in Heather’s death. Summer is equally shocked. Chance is taking the evidence at face value, but hopefully, the forensics will prove the unsent text was written after Heather’s death, which could help Daniel’s case. Daniel has a solid alibi, and Phyllis warned Sharon she would never forgive her for targeting Heather, Lucy, and Daniel. Phyllis may start to suspect a setup.
Adam, meanwhile, is pushing back against Victor’s orders. He’s suspicious of Victor taking Kyle under his wing while plotting against Jack. Adam is more concerned about Jack than jealous of Kyle. If Jack reveals Kyle stole a product, Adam might realize that Victor is exploiting Kyle to create a rift between him and his family. This could be a dealbreaker for Adam. He might step away and let Victor continue his games with Kyle.
Billy confides in Sally about Jill’s ultimatum and his frustrations with Lily, feeling unsure of how to handle the situation. Amy Lewis will return soon, with more details about her and Nate’s storylines. It will also be revealed why she’s coming to town.
