Bold and the Beautiful: Steffy Quits Stalling & Finally Slashes Hope’s Line?
You’re listening to Soap Dirt, the latest in television entertainment news. Hey Bold fans, it looks like a rough week ahead for Hope Logan. Steffy Forrester has finally been pushed too far, and this could be the week that Hope for the Future hits the dustbin, becoming fashion history at Forrester Creations. It’s Belinda from Soap Dirt, and let’s talk about the big spoilers suggesting there’s no hope for Hope for the Future by Thursday of this week. If you’re not following us, hit subscribe!
The drama started on Friday and picked up again on Monday. Hope was excited when Carter pitched his House of Forrester concept with Hope for the Future as a key part of it. Steffy, Ridge, and Eric were intrigued but skeptical—Steffy, in particular, thought Carter missed the mark about including Hope’s line. Ridge agreed, and Eric was concerned that the numbers weren’t where they needed to be. They worried Carter’s concept could take them from a family business into a corporate structure that might limit their creative control.
After Carter made his pitch on Friday, he and Hope got so worked up that they began undressing in the design office—right as Brooke walked in on them! Hope was dressed in a plaid skirt and button-up sweater, a very different look from the edgier style she had recently adopted. Brooke was horrified to see them in a compromising position, realizing Carter’s sudden passion was more about getting Hope’s clothes off than promoting her clothing line. This is bad optics, even if Carter is 100% sincere about the line, which Steffy doubts since she’s noticed his recent change of heart.
Brooke is worried about Steffy finding out, and Hope doesn’t want Ridge to know. Carter also wants to keep it quiet, knowing how bad it will look. On Monday, Steffy confronted Hope, Carter, and Brooke, asking what they were discussing. When they awkwardly replied, “Business,” Steffy, who’s co-CEO, was suspicious of Carter’s sudden support for Hope’s line and questioned their motives.
Meanwhile, Brooke encouraged Carter and Hope, telling them “it’s just business.” Hope responded that it was about integrity, but Brooke reminded her it’s still business. Steffy faces more frustration this week, not only with Hope but also with Ivy and Brooke. Ivy bypasses Steffy and goes to Ridge, with Eric supporting her, to get her jewelry line back into the company. Brooke then goes to Ridge with accusations against Steffy. Brooke’s aware of the sketchiness of Carter’s interest in Hope and the line, but she might still accuse Steffy of “bullying” Hope for no reason.
By Wednesday, Hope puts her foot in her mouth—likely sassing Steffy, perhaps even challenging her authority. Spoilers indicate that by Thursday, Steffy is angry enough to make a significant move, potentially deciding to shut down Hope for the Future. Eric has also said that Hope has had plenty of chances to succeed, so Steffy’s decision could be the final blow. Though cutting the line doesn’t necessarily mean Hope will be fired, it might happen if Hope reacts badly.
Spoilers also suggest that Brooke might be furious about Steffy’s decision, especially since Ridge is set to support Steffy’s choice on Friday. Brooke could try to sway Ridge or even turn to Eric for support. However, Eric seems to be in agreement with Steffy and Ridge, so Brooke may find herself isolated in this fight.
It’s likely the end of Hope for the Future, though it wouldn’t be the first time it’s been canceled. With everything coming to a head during sweeps, we might see Carter issue ultimatums, and it’ll be interesting to see what happens next with Hope. If indeed her line is scrapped by the end of the week, there are sure to be major repercussions.
