Days of our Lives: Xander Shifts Rage from Brady to Fiona – Actors Drop Hints!

You’re reading to drinkfood. Hey Days of Our Lives fans, it’s a big week for Xander Cook as he tries to murder Brady Black in his sleep. But soon, he’ll discover his mom, Fiona Cook, is the real culprit, and it’s going to blow up his whole world.

It’s Belinda from Soap Dirt, and we’re going to talk about some hints that the actors in this storyline dropped in a recent interview about what’s next and how Xander could make Fiona pay for her bad deeds.

This week’s Days spoilers have Xander cooking up a really dark plot to punish Brady. Of course, we all know it was Fiona who paralyzed Sarah, but she’s letting her bed buddy take the fall. At the same time, Fiona is trying to protect Brady. Like the other day when she realized Xander took the piñata back and went after Brady, Fiona ran to intercept her son. Poor Brady was just standing there, ready to take this crippling beating because he’s so disgusted with himself about what happened to Sarah.

Fiona stopped Xander and distracted him by bizarrely confessing that she’s been sleeping with Brady. Not sure that was a great idea, but it did stop him, I think, because he was stunned. Despite that, Xander is cooking up a more permanent solution to the Brady problem this week. But first, Eric Brady catches up with his brother Brady and finally starts to get through to him. Actor Eric Martsolf, who plays Brady, said in an interview with Michael Fairman that Eric helps Brady realize there’s more to this. Then Brady starts to think, “Maybe I didn’t do this to Sarah,” and that sets him on the path to discovering the truth.

After this conversation, Brady begins to figure out what really happened. Meanwhile, Xander buys an untraceable gun from a thug and gets his hands on some sort of knockout drug. Sarah begs him to stop going after Brady, but he won’t listen. The next day, Xander sets Brady up to be drugged and tells Sarah he’s going to kill Brady and make it look like a suicide. Brady’s going to “kill himself”—that’s part of the promo for this week.

Brady winds up crashing in one of the rooms above the Brady Pub. Xander sneaks in with the gun, Brady’s knocked out, and he plans to put the gun in Brady’s hand and shoot him to make it look like a suicide. It’s a clever plan since everyone knows Brady feels guilty after Sarah’s accident. But Jada shows up and foils Xander’s plan. Brady wakes up feeling like crap, but at least he’s alive, and later he tells Eric about his weird night.

This Friday, spoilers have Sarah and Fiona in a big talk. Sarah went to get hypnotized by Marina, and Fiona was nervously waiting with Xander, afraid of what memories might come out. Sarah came out of the session claiming she didn’t remember who was driving, but it was clear she knows it wasn’t Brady. However, she didn’t reveal the full truth. By the end of the week, Sarah comes clean and shares what she remembered during hypnosis.

But Sarah doesn’t want Xander to know the awful truth about what his mother did—getting drunk, running her down, and leaving her there. Sarah seems willing to keep this secret, not to protect Fiona but to protect Xander from the ugly truth. At the same time, Maggie asks Xander to stop his vendetta against Brady.

Paul Telfer, who plays Xander, said in an interview that Xander would rather be angry than sad. He channels his sadness into anger, and right now, he’s focused on smashing Brady. Xander doesn’t excuse Brady’s addiction as a reason for what happened. But soon, Xander will discover Fiona’s involvement, and all the anger he directed at Brady will shift to his mother.

Xander’s relationship with Fiona has changed drastically over the months. He thought she was being helpful, taking care of Sarah and Victoria, but all that will mean nothing when the truth comes out. According to Telfer, when Xander finds out, it’s the heaviest material he’s ever played on the show. Xander’s mom is worse than he ever imagined, and no amount of caretaking can save her from his wrath.

The actress who plays Sarah, Linsey Godfrey, said Sarah is willing to make uncharacteristic decisions to protect Xander and everyone else from his rage. Fiona, portrayed by Serena Scott Thomas, knows she made a terrible mistake, but Sarah doesn’t see her as a bad person, just someone who made a bad choice. As Sarah tries to protect Xander from the truth, it’s clear that when the truth does come out, it’s going to be explosive.
