You’re reading to DrinkFood , the latest in television entertainment news! Hey Y&R fans, I’ve got your Early Edition spoilers for the week of October 7th through the 11th. Phyllis is going to be in a rage over Heather’s murder, and I fully expect her to accuse Sharon.
It’s Belinda from DrinkFood, and as we always do on early edition day, we start with the spoilers for the rest of this week. And hey, if you’re not subscribed, please click that button! Let’s dig into the action coming on Wednesday, October 2nd.
Audra tells Victor that Kyle is sabotaging her. It’s like two kids running to their dad to tattle. Victor talks to both Audra and Kyle and says, “Prove to me who should be CEO.” He’s making it a challenge, so they both get busy trying to outdo each other. Jack and Diane share breakfast at Society, and he tells her about the run-in with Billy, who mentioned that Victoria and Victor are at odds over the Abbott-Chancellor deal. Diane thinks Jack should let Billy sink or swim on his own because they have other fish to fry. She also wants to replace Kyle since he doesn’t seem to be coming back to Jabot. Jack hurts Diane’s feelings by saying she seems more worried about work than their son. He then walks away to take a call, and Audra approaches Diane. Diane wants to know how to get Audra away from Kyle, but Audra makes it clear that she doesn’t want him.
While Jack and Diane continue bickering, Kyle is at the mansion snooping on his mom’s laptop. He finds something and rushes back to Victor. Kyle tells Victor he can prove he’s better suited as sole CEO than Audra, revealing a formula for a hot new Jabot moisturizer not yet on the market. Victor wants it for GLAAD, but Kyle refuses to hand it over until Victor fires Audra. Later, Kyle is smugly happy about getting Audra axed, but his betrayal of the family is bound to cause problems.
Sharon is pretending to act normal around Faith and Nick. She even agrees to let Nick drive her to therapy, but Cameron, the devil on her shoulder, keeps whispering to her. He justifies Heather’s murder and tells Sharon she needs to kill Daniel to finish what they started. He also urges her to lie convincingly to her therapist or risk being caught. Daniel, Summer, and Phyllis are at Crimson Lights when Daniel reveals that Heather has disappeared. Daniel calls Paul in Portugal, hoping for answers. Meanwhile, Sharon’s odd behavior is unsettling Nick. When Phyllis and Summer arrive, Nick stays behind to keep an eye on Sharon.
Daniel later gets a call back from Paul, who says Heather isn’t with him, and shortly after, the police inform Daniel that a body has been found. He heads to the morgue, hoping it’s a mistake, but it’s confirmed to be Heather. Veil Bloom, who plays Heather, recently confirmed that she’s done with the role, having filmed the death scene about three weeks before the episode airs. She mentioned how intense the scene was to film and hinted at the possibility of a resurrection, despite the gruesome nature of her character’s death.
On Thursday, October 3rd, Nick comforts Phyllis, who is distraught over Heather’s death. Victor and Lily continue conspiring, while Sharon struggles to seem normal as news of Heather’s body spreads.
By Friday, October 4th, Billy spends time with Sally, commiserating over their issues with Adam and Chelsea. Adam, meanwhile, gives Chelsea some tough love, which may prompt her to run away again. Daniel, devastated by Heather’s death, has to face the reality of being a single dad and planning her funeral. Fans are speculating whether Doug Davidson, who plays Paul, will appear at Heather’s funeral.
Heading into the week of October 7th through the 11th, Sharon’s erratic behavior continues. Phyllis, Daniel, and Lucy are grief-stricken over Heather’s murder, and I expect them to suspect and blame Sharon. Nick will likely be in denial until hard proof surfaces. Cameron continues to urge Sharon to kill Daniel, but with increasing scrutiny from Phyllis and others, tensions are set to boil over. The real blowup between Sharon and Phyllis won’t happen until Friday, October 18th, which marks Michelle Stafford’s 30th anniversary on Y&R. Expect big action on that day.
Victor has Lily and Kyle engaging in corporate sabotage, which will come back to bite all three of them. Time is ticking down to Jill Abbott’s return, and I’m hoping she and Jack team up to take down Victor and his co-conspirators.
